By now you all know how much I love white kitchens! I believe that you can’t go wrong with white and it is a timeless choice for any style of home. So what if white isn’t for you, or you want to add a little something to the neutral colour palette? A monochrome colour scheme is the next best thing! Black and white kitchens are also a timeless, classic choice and suit nearly every style of home. The great thing about black and white is that you can easily add texture, pops of colour and different finishes to make it your own.

Black and white works so well with a wide array of other materials which is perfect for the kitchen. Tap ware and hardware in a black and white kitchen can be anything from gold to chrome and still worl perfectly against the monochrome palette. Wood and glass also looks great with black and white and adds some texture to the room.

This kitchen above beautifully blends black and white finishes with tan leather and pops of greenery, giving it a warmth and making it an inviting room for the whole family to spend time. The black range is a bold choice, but works perfectly here against the classic finishes in the room!

Adding glass and mirror reflect the other beautiful colours in the room and bring them into this black and white kitchen. This is clever way to add colour and interest to a monochrome colour palette. The wooden touches also add warmth, this kitchen is so inviting!  Although black might seem like a bold choice remember that you can add as much or as little black as you like. Just adding black as a splash back or in the tap ware and handles may be enough for your home. You can really make a monochrome kitchen feel warm by adding warm coloured metals, wood and open shelving for displaying beautiful objects. These are easy ways to soften a black and white colour palette. See our other favourite black and white kitchens below…
